Tintin is 85 years old! The brave reporter first appeared in the children's supplement to the Belgian newspaper Le Vingtieme Siecle; on January 10, 1929, Tintin set off on an adventure to the Soviet Union. Tintin has earned his place among the great figures in world literature. In 1999, responding to a survey by Le Monde, readers ranked The Blue Lotus in eighteenth place on the list of books that have left the biggest impression on the twentieth century.
Tintin est au-dessus de la mêlée... et en même temps très présent dans nos existences. Cela dure depuis 85 ans. Personnage de fiction, certes, il semble définitivement figurer au panthéon des héros des temps modernes. Privé d'album depuis 1976, le petit reporter n'en finit pourtant pas de vivre de nouvelles aventures, au cœur de nos vies, mais aussi de nos constructions mentales les plus exaltantes.
